WhiteForest is led by a founding team with highly complementary strengths across operations, finance, nature-based solutions, and relationship-driven engagement in Brazil. Together, the founders cover the core capabilities required to originate land, manage institutional and social risk, structure projects and financing, and deliver credible forest conservation outcomes.
Luciano brings deep experience in relationship-building and institutional leadership, shaped by nearly fifteen years at the Royal Geographical Society. His career spans complex stakeholder environments where trust and long-term partnerships are essential. At WhiteForest, he sets the culture that underpins durable conservation projects.

Stefanie brings over 20 years of experience across forestry, ecology, and environmental markets. Her background spans biodiversity technology, forest certification, ecosystem monitoring, and community engagement. At WhiteForest, she ensures projects are scientifically robust, aligned with evolving standards, and designed for long-term environmental and social performance.

Marco Rosa

Marco is a decorated General of the Brazilian Army with extensive experience in operational leadership, strategic planning, and environmental solutions. His career spans senior government roles, UN peacekeeping missions, and experience in the Amazon. A trained Jungian psychotherapist, he brings humanitarian leadership, operational resilience, and execution discipline to WhiteForest.
Gustavo Montes
Co-Founder & CFO
Gustavo is an experienced investment banker with over 20 years in utilities, infrastructure, and transportation, including 13 years at Evercore. Since the Kyoto Protocol, he has worked on assignments in carbon markets and structured finance, bringing financial rigor, structuring expertise, and capital-markets insight to WhiteForest.
